Power Mobile Gym CIC: Creative Social Impact
Bridging the Gap Between Boxing and the Arts Working with Power Mobile Gym CIC, I transformed a fitness-focused space into a hub for creative and social development. By fusing instructional illustration with strategic leadership, I helped the organization secure over £20,000 in project funding and achieve national award nominations. This project highlights my ability to use design as a tool for education and growth, successfully guiding young people from at-risk backgrounds into higher education and sustainable, healthy lives.

My role:
Creative Direction & Spatial Design: I designed the visual identity for the gym space, creating concept art and marketing materials (flyers/digital assets) that professionalized the brand and increased its local visibility.
Educational Illustration: To bridge the gap between fitness and literacy, I created bespoke illustrations demonstrating proper boxing techniques and nutritional guides. These visual aids made complex health information accessible, directly leading to healthier lifestyle choices for the members.
Project Coordination & Curation: I organized and curated artistic exhibitions, providing a platform for myself and local artists to showcase work. This initiative helped the organization diversify its department and reach a broader demographic of young creatives.
Leadership & Mentorship: Beyond the desk, I acted as a coach, tutor, and mentor. I worked on the front lines to ensure the gym remained a safe, transformative space for young people.
The Impact:
National Recognition & Life Transformation
National Nominations: During my year of leadership, the organization was nominated for Boxing Gym of the Year (2023) and Community Interest Company of the Year (2023).
Behavioural Change: Through my nutritional and technical illustrations, we documented numerous case studies of participants moving away from negative cycles toward disciplined, healthy, and creative lifestyles.
Significant Funding Acquisition: I played a key role in securing over £20,000 in funding, which was strategically allocated to expand the creative department, develop new projects, and subsidize memberships for youth facing extreme financial hardship.
