Elevating Retail Through Illustration: Fujifilm x Instax: The Creator Cube

I was commissioned by Fujifilm to transform the "Creator Cube" at their London flagship, the House of Photography, into an immersive brand experience. Serving as the Lead Illustrator and Print Specialist, I designed a series of large-scale installations that successfully increased Instax sales footfall by 20% and engaged over 5,000 visitors in a single week.

This project evolved from a temporary marketing campaign into a long-term partnership, with my custom illustrations remaining on permanent display in Covent Garden to this day. It stands as a prime example of how I fuse high-fidelity digital art with physical retail strategy to create measurable brand impact.

The Vision

Fujifilm and instax required a high-impact visual campaign to drive awareness and engagement for their products at the Fujifilm House of Photography in Covent Garden. The goal was to transform the "Creator Cube" a dedicated experimental space — into an immersive environment that resonated with modern creators and increased physical store footfall.

As the Lead Illustrator and Print Specialist, I was tasked with designing a series of large-scale installations that captured the playful, tactile essence of Instax while maintaining the premium standards of the Fujifilm brand.

My Role:

Custom Illustration & Environmental Design: I created a series of bespoke illustrations specifically tailored for the Creator Cube.

Print Production & Technical Oversight: As the print specialist, I managed the transition from digital illustration to physical installation. I ensured that every colour, line, and material met high standards required for a flagship retail environment.

Brand Ambassadorship & Strategy: On the day of the launch, I served as the Product Specialist and Brand Ambassador. By engaging directly with the public, I was able to translate the "creative vision" into product knowledge, ensuring a seamless experience for over 5,000 visitors.

The Impact: Commercial Success & Long-term Partnership

Massive Audience Reach: The installations were viewed by over 5,000 visitors during the initial week of display, significantly raising brand awareness.

Permanent Commission: Based on the success of this campaign, Fujifilm House of Photography commissioned multiple follow-up projects. My work remains on display at the Covent Garden flagship store to this day, serving as a permanent part of the brand’s visual identity.
